The rather confused array of cropmarks at Maesgwyn are generally confined to field north-east of Maesgwyn, extending over an area, c.170m across. These possibly include a sub-rectangular enclosure, c.45m NE-SW by 27m, but may represent traces of one or two field systems, oriented ENE-WSW/NE-SW across SSW facing slopes.

A further site, sharing this alignment, lies immediately west of Maesgwyn (Nprn309244).
