Complex array of cropmark features, principally barrow ditches & boundary features, ditches & pit alignments, occurring over an area, roughly 1.0km east to west by 0.75km.
Investigation, between 1981-84, indicated that the barrows were Bronze Age & persisted as landscape features into the sub-Roman period (Warrilow et al. 1986), whilst the boundary features could only be assigned a pre-18th century date, being earlier than the current field boundary pattern (Owen & Britnell 1989).
