Description
1. Cropmarks representing a complex ditched enclosure; what appears to be a round-angled, subrectangular enclosure, about 90m north-south by at least 90m - the western side not being visible, rests within an outer circuit, about 150m north-south, whose western front may correspond with irregularities in the current field boundary on that side; there are indications of a third circuit, from 30-40m beyond the second line; this last, which would reach as far as the barrow on the south (Nprn306026), may represent natural features.

2. Air photographs of the defended enclosure are reproduced in Musson and Driver (2015) 'Above Brecknock', page 15 (A-B) but wrongly labelled as 'Aberllynfi Gaer, Three Cocks'.

3. Recorded with excellent clarity as a cropmark during Royal Commission aerial reconnaissance on 19th July 2018, during the 2018 drought. Four lines of defence are revealed at what is a complex hillfort.
