Swansea Brewery was established in 1835. It is shown on the Ordnance Survey 1:500 Town Plan of Swansea of 1879-80 with a malthouse on the corner of Singleton Street and Princes Street; the malthouse was replaced by the Grand Theatre by 1899 and the brewery site was later used for a coach station.
