A roughly 326m stretch of leat is depicted on OS County series (Flint. XXII.7 1873), leading from a wier on Emral Brook, believed to have fed a mill in the area of the later kitchen garden, also feeding a fishpond (Nprn309714), possibly concerned with Emrall Hall moat (Nprn309720).

Leat partly filled in, otherwise utilised as drainage channel.
