An earlier eighteenth century threshing barn at Plas Gwyn (NPRN 15812). It carries that date 1732 and so pre-dates the house, completed in 1754.
The barn is a seven bay building with rubble stone walls under a slate roof. There are opposed central entries with dressed stone heads. There are two tiers of ventilation slits and there are indications that the barn was originally lofted. The 1st edition OS County series (Anglesey XIV.10 1889) shows the barn divided into several compartments.
