Description
A large early eighteenth century threshing barn to the south-west of Henblas mansion (NPRN 15706). It appears as Ty-newydd on early editions of the OS County series (Anglesey XVIII.9 1889, 1900) and is now a roofless ruin.
The barn has rubble stone walls with ashlar dressings upon a boulder foundation. It has opposed central cart entries in the long walls and all walls have two tiers of ventilation slits. Above the east entry (towards the house) is a date stone of 1733 with a carved lion.
There are some remains of timbers.
