3. The east facing icehouse was constructed in the late 18th early 19th century of local rubble. The entrance tunnel, which has now collapsed, is 3m long. The 3.7m diameter stone chamber still remains under a low mound. It is thought that it supplied ice to Aberystwyth hospital in the early 20th century.
