Description
The Town Hall, Pontypridd, was built between 1853-6 by Bidlake and Lovett from Wolverhampton on land given by the Hanbury family. It was 2 storey, stone faced, with a parapet, bay windows and pilasters. Now with modern extensions to rear built in 1991, the building is the headquarters offices for Torfaen Borough Council. The new work involved demolishing a part of the original building and encasing a part of the Council Chamber in new work.
