'Remains of an old well, set into steeply sloping ground on the south western flank of Mynydd Tyn-y-fach. At the time of inspection, the water was still flowing but it seems that a modern cutting a few metres north (and marked on OS maps), has diverted the main flow. It consists of a rectangular trench or chamber 2m long by 0.9m wide, enclosed on three sides by drystone walling up to 0.7m thick and composed of large boulders. A number of flat slabs scattered about might have once served to roof the chamber.'
