Description
Lloyd George unveiled this rabbit in 1933.
The stone sculpture shows the White Rabbit of 'Alice in Wonderland' encased in a steel framed globe. It rises from the centre of a small rectangular pond.
From 1861-73 the nearby Penmorfa (NPRN 403055) was the holiday home of the Liddell family and it is said that the story was first told to young Alice on this stretch of beach. However, this locality was then settlement ponds associated with the Penmorfa Adit.
