Description
Gnoll War Memorial Gates are situated at the end of the roadway forming an entrance to the Gnoll Grounds. The c.1921 memorial gates were erected in conjunction with purchase by the Council of Gnoll Estate Grounds as a Memorial Park to 1914-1918 war.

It is an mposing monument, with sweeping concave memorial walls, gates to centre, white marble with stone plinth. Broad piers form outer corners. Stone plaques to the front bearing 1914/1918 to the left pier, 1939/1945 to the right. Flanking walls sweep inwards to gateways, each bearing 3 bronze plaques. There are good, elaborate heavy iron gates, with gilded scrollwork to the lock and top rails, exuberant cresting to the top. There is a bronze medallion to each gate with civic insignia. Similar detail to flanking pedestrian gates.
