Ynys Gorad Goch is the largest of several islands situated in the Menai Straits. It has a large house and two weirs (nprn 33276) built to trap fish. The name means 'Island of the red fish-trap'.
The garden is depicted on the Second Edition Ordnance Survey 25-inch map of Anglesey XIX, sheet 15.
