DescriptionThe village of Bow Street has developed in a linear fashion along the main Turnpike road north of Aberystwyth, and has grown to include the settlement of Pen y Garn, home to Y Garn chapel, to the north. There are records of a major Bronze Age round barrow having been removed in the nineteenth century from Pen y Garn during road building operations. The village was formerly home to the Bow Street Railway Station and several rural industries.
