1. Northern wooden cooling tower. Part of Cwm Coking Works (nprn 91585).

2. Cwm Colliery operated from 1909 to 1986, and a coking works was established on the site by the National Coal Board in 1957. Two cooling towers were built entirely of timber following the traditional pattern.
