Aberllyn Lead Mine dates from the 1870s and from 1896 to 1905 it was worked for zinc ore by Brunner Mond who built and extensive sloped mill, in which the remains of ore bins, jigging floors, buddle pits and calciner all survive. The mine was last worked 1920s and, in addition to the mill, the site comprises a series of levels, some with brick lined portals, tramways, adits and foundations for machinery.
