Penrhyn Du Lead Mine is part of a cluster of mines on the coast near Abersoch. The Cornish-type engine house and free standing chimney contained a 27-inch Boulton and Watt pumping engine of 1779. When the site was visited by DJ Percival during May 2005, the remains of the building were still there, although they were in a ruinous state.
