DescriptionGlogfach Mine was mainly worked since 1834, although there have been indications of earlier workings. The few surface remains include the remains of a crusher house, traces of tramways and leats, with fragments of structures amid areas of tips.
The mine was active in the eighteenth century through to the nineteenth century. The mine was re-developed as a part of the Lisburne group, together with Glogfawr (NPRN 33874) and Logaulas (NPRN 33890), 1834-40, recommencing in 1856, reached by Level Fawr (NPRN 33880) in 1872 and remaining active to 1899. The mine is also recorded as having been worked in connection with Penlanfach (NPRN 300666).
