First recorded production from 1706, redeveloped from 1870, but closed by 1886 & consequently shown as disused on OS County series, 1st ed. (Montgomery. IV.8 1887), reopened 1898 - 1911 & depicted in-use on OS 2nd ed. (1901): some working during the First World War.
