    Description
    In 1887 the RNLI established a lifeboat station with a 14.3m by 6.5m in slipway on the east quay of the outer harbour at Burry Port. In 1914 the station closed as the area was covered by the neighbouring lifeboat stations. The station re-opened in 1973.
