Description

Burry Port's east harbour was built as a floating dock in 1840. The harbour lighthouse was built on the western breakwater arm in 1842 with permission from Trinity House. It is a round harbour light of whitewashed rubble stone. On its north side is a steel door under a concrete lintel, with a stair light to the south-east. At the upper level is a projecting and bracketed metal fence to a walkway. The polygonal lantern has a domed roof. It is now disused.

The lighthouse exterior was recorded by the RCAHMW via a photogrammetry survey on 01/04/2025 (links below).
