Roath Dock was built c.1887. It is part of Cardiff Docks (nprn 91412) and was originally reached through Roath Basin (nprn 305754).To the south-west corner is a dry dock, to the south two hoists, to the north side is a junction lock with Bute East Dock, and to the east side two locks, end on, control the entrance to the main dock. The dock remains commercial use.
