First lock on the Glamorganshire Canal (nprn 34425) north of its junction with the Aberdare Canal (nprn 85373). Double lock, incorporated in the garden of a house; gates and machinery have disappeared, although the stone structure is intact. Original lock keeper's cottage has been replaced by a modern house.
