Description
1. Bridge over overflow outlet at lock 13, Maesgwyn lock.

2. Around the remains of lock 13 are a variety of interesting remains. An early l9th century lime-kiln is built into the lock platform [SN 8588 0517]and just downstream from the lock, at the Maes Gwyn overbridge [SN 8581 0512] are the remains of a pleasure boathouse built for the owners of the now demolished Maes Gwyn House. The foundations of a mill and a millstone also survive in the outbuildings of the mansion [SN 8579 0510]. It was driven by by-pass water from the lock.
