Description
Pont Gethin Railway Viaduct was built from 1877-1879 in a 'Scots Baronial' style to carry the London and North Western Railway's Conwy Valley Line (nprn 415673) across the Lledr Valley. The construction is mainly of stone; it is 326 metres (1070 ft) long and has one large arch and numerous smaller arches. It is battlemented above semi-circular bastions with refuges. The contractor was Owain Gethin Jones of Penmachno.
