Description
Llandybie (Llandebie) Signal Box is a Great Western Railway type 3 design and dates from 1884. It is a two storey structure of brick-to-floor construction under a pitched slated roof, with an external wooden access stairway at the north end. The GWR stud frame is not original, dating from 1905 (1), with 21 levers. Following closure, the box was moved and rebuilt on a new base (nprn 421769), in about 1986, at Bronwydd Arms Station (nprn 305104) on the Gwili Railway, where it is in full use controlling signalling and points at the station and the adjacent level crossing gates.

Note (1): Kay says 1906, but a photograph of the frame shows a cast plate with the date 1905.
