Description
Whitland Railway Station lies on the south Wales main line between Carmarthen and Haverfordwest. It was opened by the South Wales Railway in 1854 and is the junction station for the line to Tenby and Pembroke Dock (from 1866) and formerly for the Whitland and Cardigan Railway (nprn 410169), later Cardigan branch, (1873 to 1963). The station is a modern construction of brick and glass dating from 1958. A siding to the east served the former Whitland Creamery (nprn 91724).
