1. Built 1811, cast at Abernant Ironworks, probably the oldest* of its type in world. Cast iron railway bridge.
*Pont ar Cafnau in Merthyr Tydfill is almost certainly dated to 1793.
2. A cast-iron tramroad bridge of 10.75m span, over the river Cynon, it comprises four arched ribs set in masonry abutments and carrying a cast-iron deck 3.04m wide, with handrails on each side. The centre handrail stanchions are dated 1811.
