Description
Glyncorrwg Railway descends into Cwm Gwenffrwd through a rocky cutting approximately 90m long, up to 7.0m deep and 3.8m wide. Below is an embankment 5.8m wide and remains of underbridge abutments, spanning 2.5m and approximately 2.3m high; the bridge probably consisted of timber or iron beams. South of the bridge, the incline is supported on the NE side by a substantial stone retaining wall and buttresses, now tumbled but still standing up to 5.0m high. The incline descends further into dense forestry plantation (not visited).
