Description
Shotton Railway Station was opened on 1 April 1907 on the Chester and Holyhead Railway. It was renamed Shotton Low Level in 1953, to draw a distinction with the Shotton Station (or Shotton High Level, nprn 421962) nearby on the Wrexham, Mold & Connah's Quay Railway line. It closed to passengers in 1966 but reopened in 1972.
