Dating from 1863, as part of Boston Lodge Railway Works (nprn 91422), the manager's office is a single-storey building of local slatey rubble under a slate roof, now monopitch following partial demolition. The painted rendered south wall has a gabled timber porch with pendant and finial and part-trellissed sides.
