DescriptionThe viaduct was built by Monmouthshire Railway (& Canal Company). It is a four semi-circular 12.2 meters (40 feet) arched viaduct on a very sharp curve, climbing at 1 in 48. The tall piers are composed of squared rubble, with red brick linings, and one arch with an extra lining of blue brick. The viaduct opened in 1879 to Talywain (Abersychan).
