Description
Penparcau Tollhouse was built at Southgate in Aberystwyth in 1771 at a cost of £40. It was re-erected in 1966 at the Museum of Welsh Life, St Fagans, and furnished in the style of 1843 when the Rebecca Riots caused many tollhouses to be destroyed. It is a single storey stone building with a slate roof, stone chimney and arched windows.
