1. Erected 30/03/1955, Automobile Association telephone box, No. 580.
2. A box structure, timber framed covered with black painted galvanised sheet metal, set on a concrete base. The single doorway faces south-west towards the road. The box has yellow detailing including corporate logos. The cross-gabled roof is silver painted and has a central capped vent. The interior has been altered and retains little original detail.
Said to be one of only twenty-four surviving examples of a type that originally numbered a thousand in the UK.
