Description

1. Circa 1840. Two storeys. Three windows. Roughcast on brick. Whitewashed. Gently pitched hipped slate roof with eaves. Ground floor, slated verandah on paired slender iron Doric columns to SW and SE fronts (RAJ 20/3/01; based on CADW listing description).

2. House set in its own grounds dating to c.1840. It is two storeys, constructed of brick with a roughcast render and whitewashed. The hipped roof is slate covered with an eaves soffit, and there is a gable over the centre bay which is advanced. To the right is a possibly later range with a canted bay to the rear.

The ground floor has a slated verandah on paired, slender, iron Doric columns on the south-west and south-east elevations, and there is a plain 'valence' swept around the corners and over the windows. The central entrance is accessed by stone steps, and has half glazed doubled doors with raised pyramidal panels. There are shallow upper sashes and narrow side panes to the deep 25-pane sash windows, the sills of which are at ground level. The first floor windows are 15-pane sashes, again with shallow upper sashes and narrow side panes and with a continuous band sill.

The later rear range has later sash windows with cambered head openings and small panes.
