Halkyn Castle was built between 1824 and 1827, by architect John Buckley for the Second Earl Grosvenor. It is a castellated style mansion of 2 and 3 storeys with turrets, towers, many stacks; of buff ashlar and chiefly mullioned and transomed windows under hood moulds.
