Description
House of 1760s(?) extended and enlarged in 1920s to become part of the Hill House isolation hospital. Built as 5-bay house by Iltyd Thomas who leased the buildings between 1768 to 1786.

House of three storeys, with smooth rendered exterior and slate roofs. The main front faces south, and has seven windows with the outer pair to each side separated from the centre by pilaster bands. The upper storeys have square windows to the top floor and rectangular windows to first floor; mainly small-pane hornless sash windows with marginal bars, but those to the left being horned. The ground floor has a cast iron verandah of 5 bays, and towards the ends are 1920s polygonal bays hung with red tiles. These have casement windows and part glazed doors. There are four windows under the veranda, one to the left of the left bay. The building has been greatly extended to the rear with a long wing to the left added in 1920s when house became a nurses home. This wing connects with the mainly 19th century brick service buildings (but C20 alterations and additions). There is a smaller block to the rear.
