Description
A red brick mansion, of irregular plan behind a symmetrical south-facing facade, built in about 1770, possibly on the site of an earlier house. The mansion was demolished following a fire around 1916 and the service wing was demolished in the 1950s.
Source: Lloyd, T. 1986 'The Lost Houses of Wales', 42, with illustration.
Portrayed on OS County series 25in (Montgomery. XV.2 1886 and 1901); an L-plan range to the west of the house appears to have survived. The site is currently (1994) occupied by a farmyard and buildings.
Associated with: Park/gardens (nprn 400126).
