DescriptionTal-y-bont Mill was probably built in the seventeenth century, but remodelled in the early nineteenth century. It is built on an 'L'-plan, of rubblestone with large quoins and lintels, and has a roof of small slates supported on collared trusses. The overshot wheel was driven by water from a weir on the Afon Ysgethin, brought by a 175 metre leat. Inside, most of the mill machinery remains in situ. The mill worked until WW1, and was renovated in the late twentieth century.
