Description
A c.1,200m stretch of trackway, extending W-wards from SH78803623 to SH77663613, thought to be a part of the Roman road between Tomen-y-Mur & Caer Gai (RR68; Nprn303421), a further section of this route is recorded c.4.2km to the SE (Nprn401036): an alternative route: from recorded road section S of Llyn Hiraethlyn to W (Nprn89704), an alternative route can be traced to the SE (see Nprn309149).
(source: Margary 1957 (Roman Roads in Britain II), 83-4)
The western section of this proposed road segment follows the line of a 540m linear feature, which along with a roughly parallel feature, 120-200m to the S, is depicted on OS County series (Merioneth. XXI NW 1890): the E part appears to be a relatively recent track.
