A centrally disturbed round barrow, 17.5m in diameter & 1.4m high, set upon the summit of a minor spur, currently on an island in a reservoir: excavation, 1973, showed that the barrow consisted of a clay-capped turf mound, covering a central burial pit; about this central feature & within the mound, were two concentric stake-circles, 6.0m & 8.75m in diameter, showing traces of hurdling, a third concentric circle, 13.5m in diameter, underlay the mound.
