Earthworks of an apparently engineered road/trackway, which diverges from current trunk road (A44), at SO15875937, running NW then W, across NW-facing slopes (turning at given NGR) to SO15745943: this feature appears to represent a former line of the current road, possibly an 18th-19th C. turnpike, a further section of which is apparent at Gryliss, 0.5km to the ESE (Nprn400997); to the NW the route represented by these features may have joined with the 18th-19th C. New Radnor - Rhayader road, represented by a lane leading to Gwernyragllwydd, 0.5km distant (see text attached to Nprn400997).
