Cropmarks showing north-west half of probable defended enclosure sited in shallow valley approximately 120m south of Northop Brook. Enclosure ditch is curvilinear and encloses an area c.55m across. Adjoining field unresponsive to cropmarks and so the extents of the enclosure are unclear. Cropmarks in the same field also show the bivallate angle of a possible second defended enclosure to south-west of the first at SJ24966872, overlain and truncated by the cutting for the A55 road. The exact nature of this second site is unclear. Discovered during RCAHMW aerial reconnaissance on 30th July 2004.
