Description
No. 19 is part of a detached group of early 19th-century, late Georgian 3-storey buildings midway along the street, together with Nos. 15 and 17. 1-window front and whitewashed rubble with rubble quoins. Slate roof, boarded eaves and a tall red brick stack. Small-pane sash windows, with faceted keystones to the first floor. Shop front offset to the right; overall cornice and panelled pilasters flanking tripartite sash window beside 6-panel door. Tall rubble cross range.

Numbers 21 and 23 are detached to the left, towards the junction with Chapel Street. They are a pair of early 18th-century 3-storey buildings, with 2-window painted black fronts, part rubble to the ground floor. They have slate roofs, boarded eaves and cement render end chimney stacks. Lintels and fluted keystones to the first floor windows. Modern shop front to No 21 and early 19th-century regency front to No 23: a fascia bowed out over two 4-pane shop windows. 4-panel door between the two shops, numbered 23. Rubble left end with cross range; one stone dated 1883. Further rubble chimney stack and 1 small window; very tall cellar. Small sash windows at rear with brace plates and a broken loading platform and hoist; indicates a former commercial use. The interior of No 21 retains dog-leg staircase with fluted newel, moulded handrail and turned balusters. Some half-timber partition walls and a roll moulded cross beam to rear parlour. 6-panel doors and a good 19th-century iron firegrate to 1st floor.
