Description
Earthworks of a near circular enclosure, about 40m across, set on a level summit area formerly within Middleton Hall Park (NPRN 86175). It is depicted as a tree clump on the 1st edition OS County series (Carmarthen. XL.11 1888). It is possible that this is an earlier feature reused when the park was established in the early nineteenth century.
Pre park arrangements are represented by a mesh of linear features laid out across the sloping ground to the north-east. Similar features have been recorded elsewhere across the formerly emparked area (see NPRN 401731, 401679, 401339).
