DescriptionCropmarks of an oval or hexagonal ditched enclosure, measuring some 106m NW-SE by 93m SW-NE, showing opposed axial entrances facing north-west & south-east, opening onto apparent ditched approach-ways, which project the orientation of the enclosure a further 65m & 70m respectively; these outworks include possible pit/posthole alignments, similar features having also been observed within the enclosure, where a stone is marked by OS County series (Pembroke. XXIV.6 1889): this complex has been regarded as a ritual monument, the enclosure being a henge, rather than a settlement feature, and has been linked to the linear cropmark complex at Llandissilio to the south-east (NPRN 402397); the enclosure occupies a discrete ridge-top summit & the north-western approachway features extend almost to a break-in-slope above steep slopes above the Eastern Cleddau, the south-eastern approach appears to hold to higher ground before a sometimes abrupt valley intervenes between it and the Llandissilio complex: an earthwork enclosure complex (Nprn304294) is set on lower ground, some 140m to the south-west of the enclosure complex recorded here.
