Small village which includes Chapel (NPRN 7403), former corner shop (now Garreg-lwyd house), and row of early single-storied cottages lining south side of road heading west from village centre. House platforms in field to west of village (NPRN 300322) and hoard of Roman coins immediately west of village (NPRN 132203) hint at earlier use of this hillside in Roman and medieval times.
