DescriptionDisused water-powered corn mill and outbuilding adjacent to the river Aran, from which the mill race is tapped. The current building on the site is of stone rubble construction, rebuilt with brick walls in the nineteenth century. The overshot waterwheel was set on the east gable of the mill, with the pond, now grassed over, to the southeast. The hurst frame survives, with one former runner burrstone used as a bedstone, and the wooden axle and pulley of the sack hoist. Noted as dismantled in 1940 (Gardener, 1940). The woods to the south are called Mill Coppice andf a field near Lower Cantell is called Maesyfelin. The mill marked on Dr. Wm. Rees's map.
