DescriptionThe home farm of Plas Newydd (NPRN 15824) was removed to present location in 1804 on the advice of Humphrey Repton who was a consultant for the park and grounds (NPRN 265416). The original buildings have been altered and adapted and new buildings have been added.
The original layout had a U-plan range about the south side of the yard. The single storey south wing contained cowhouses and the two storey east and west wings had respectively stables, offices and servants' quarters, and a granary, cart shed and farmhouse. The walls are of stone rubble with brick heads to the openings, under slate roofs. The east and west wings have arched entries topped by pyramidal roofs.
To the south are the walled (kitchen) gardens (NPRN 15826, 15828).
