DescriptionAll that remains of Melin-y-Pant is a partially-collapsed tapered tower standing up to two storeys high, built of rubblestone with an eroded coat of render. Its small diameter, 3 metres, suggests that its purpose was to drive machinery in the adjacent barn rather than to drive millstones. It was already disused by 1889, when the 1st edition of the 25-inch O.S. map was published.
